QuoPeek Quick Start
Get QuoPeek working for the first time.
Follow these steps after downloading QuoPeek for a successful first setup.
2. Open the DMG
Double-click the downloaded DMG to open it in Finder.
3. Drag QuoPeek into Applications
Drag QuoPeek.app onto the Applications link in the DMG window.
4. Make sure Codex Desktop is installed
QuoPeek reads usage from the visible Codex Desktop app, so Codex Desktop must be installed.
5. Sign in to Codex Desktop and keep it running
Open Codex Desktop, sign in, and leave it running before your first QuoPeek refresh.
6. Open QuoPeek
Open QuoPeek from Applications. It runs from the menu bar.
7. Choose the correct Codex plan
When prompted, select the Codex plan you use so QuoPeek can read the matching usage limits.
8. Grant Accessibility permission
When QuoPeek requests it, enable QuoPeek in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. You remain in control of this macOS permission.
9. Return to QuoPeek
After enabling permission, return to QuoPeek so it can resume normal monitoring.
10. Confirm the first usage refresh
Use Refresh in the QuoPeek menu bar. When usage appears, your first successful refresh is complete.
11. Optional: enable notifications
Notification permission is only needed if you choose to use QuoPeek alert features.
12. Optional: enable Launch at Login
Turn on Launch at Login in QuoPeek Settings if you want QuoPeek to start when you sign in to your Mac.
